However, my worries disappeared quickly. The Taiwanese students were very patient, smiled a lot, and listened to me carefully. When I talked about my favorite hobby and soft tennis, they showed great interest and asked me many questions. I also learned about their school life and popular foods in Taiwan.

I was especially happy when they said they were also interested in Japanese foods and culture.

This meeting taught me an important lesson. The desire to connect with others is more powerful than language barriers. It was a bit challenging, but it gave me great joy. This experience has increased my motivation to learn not only English but also Chinese (including Taiwanese Mandarin). I truly hope we have another opportunity to meet and deepen our friendship.
