That is 8-12 million dogs and cats without a place to call home, or a warm bed, or a family to love. I am urging you to consider adoption when it comes to your next pet and help save a life. I adopted my dog 3 years ago, before I got him he was in a home where he was mistreated often and developed a mistrust of people and other animals before long his owners dropped him off at a shelter and left. He did not take to the shelter well. The owners of the shelter knew he wouldn't last long and euthanization would have to be an option. When the shelter called and told me about him I knew I needed to be the one who saved him and 3 years later it was one of the best decisions of my life. He has come a long way and has learned to trust people again and allow others into his life. He loves unconditionally and knows now he is home and safe. 
Now I want you to think about that number again, 8-12 million. How many of those animals do you believe end up in a forever home? According to the humane society of America on a good year, they are lucky if half of those pets get adopted. That’s nearly 4-6 million animals who were in my dog’s very situation. But many of those animals do not get the happy ending they deserve. One reason is that its useless because everything on the homework we already learned in class so it's just extra work. They just give us more work to do at home even though we been doing work all class. The second reason it should be eliminated is because some kids when they get home have other stuff to do then homework. For example, sports practice, chores, and many other stuff. So giving homework for no reason is more work for a kid whos only 15.
    My third reason as to why homework needs to be eliminated is because it causes too much stress. Most of the time in math when they give you homework its something completely different and useless. Some people not as good in math so when they get homework with 30 math questions they freaking and stressing out. For teens, the most commonly reported sources of stress are school (83 percent), getting into a good college or deciding what to do after high school (69 percent), and financial concerns for their family (65 percent)This is why homework should be illegal and elimanted. Overall, schools can be rough of the students who attend not just on the in person kids, but also the online students. Students are in each class for roughly an hour and 38 minutes. I know it can be draining for not just the students, buit the teachers, imagine you're a student who only gets a 30 minute break in between their 3rd period class and their fourth. You can imagine how much pressure can build when all they're thinking about it work and grades for their classes. Students don't only have school in their life, but also have a family life to be part of. How draining do you think it can be when after a full day of indoor classes, you spend worrying about what grade they have, and work they are missing? Then they come home with that stress just to do homework. Studies by globenewswire shows that 45% of students tend to be stressed due to conflicts with their school. Homework only adds on to that stress, and it shouldn't all. We need to help students by removing their homework for after school, and even teachers get a positive outcome as they don't have to spend time grading as they can live their homelife. If you look at real time we have done 17 assignments and I have completed all of them. My teachers say that I complete my work when it is assigned and it is always done correctly and on time. I do not like to have missing work because it can greatly affect my grade and a project would heavily affect my grade. I get stressed out when my grades are below an 85 because if I get another bad grade it is going to drop my grade even lower that it was before and than I can not do sports and that will make a whole circle of me not being able to do anything because my work will start to pile up and it will not be good. 

    When my work piles up it will continue to do that until I am able to catch up and it will not allow me anytime to think about my other classes and then I will start to fall in other classes and it will make my other classes grades go down. That would restart the circle and make my other classes grades go down and I would have to shift my attention to another class to keep up with my work and I would not be able to dig myself out of the hole that I dug myself into.

Trying to do it all at once can be overwhelming. Even for myself, I’ve struggled to do so. I feel as though teachers should be more lenient when it comes to submitting work. I do understand deadlines and things like that but some of us are struggling, and sometimes it’s hard to admit it when it comes down to it. It would be so kind of you to extend the time for projects and essays so we students can get other work done and also yours. With little time to do things like this, we rush just to get it done on time and it most likely wouldn’t be done to its full potential. More time would equal more work and effort, and a better grade. While homework itself is useful in SOME cases, it’s just more work, time and stress for the student. On top of that, what most teachers don’t factor in when giving their students homework, is things going on in their personal life. According to a credible website (news.stanford.edu), a researcher found out that a lot of homework can negatively impact a student. It can negatively impact students by increasing their stress, worsen their health due to sleep deprivation and other health problems, and it also gives the student less time to focus on themselves, hang out with friends or family, pursue hobbies, etc. Overall, I think that homework is DETRIMENTAl to a student’s wellbeing. I know this through experience.

We should all do this in public and especially in the classroom, since we are there for 7 hours a few days a week. I feel like if everyone did this, then COVID would go away sooner, like we all want. You can spread the virus without knowing it and social distancing is your responsibility as a person to prevent the spread. You need to do this along with wearing a mask in public, washing your hands, and thinking twice before traveling. Doing all of these things will prevent the further spread of COVID and hopefully by this summer we can go wherever we like and do whatever we want safely.

I believe as students having to wake up at 6 AM and being at school for 7+ hours is insane in itself. Now imagine going home and then having to do another 2+ hours of work at home. I don’t know about you guys but my work drive when I’m at home goes down a ton. I’m at home, where I usually relax. Not working. 
                  I feel like if a student is doing well in their classes then homework shouldn’t be necessary, more optional. More of an extra practice type of thing. It’s like you are working a job and your boss comes up to you and says “Hey, I need you to cook me 100 extra burgers and bring them in tomorrow”.
