Bubble Wrap Stamps
Using an empty toilet paper roll, bubble wrap, a rubber band, and paint, cut a small square of the bubble wrap and place it over the toilet paper roll and put the rubber band around it to keep it in place. Then dip the stamp in paint and add the paint to paper. This activity can be used interdisciplinary with STEM education because it can help students with color recognition and combinations as well as help them work various muscle groups in their hands, which can aid in their fine-motor skills development.

Popped Bubble Art
In this activity, students will blow bubbles (colored with food coloring) onto paper to create art. This activity can be used interdisciplinary with STEM education as it encourages students to think creatively and also help teach students how to control their breathing. Additionally, blowing bubbles can also help students learn how to move their mouths, which can help their ability to develop speech and language skills. This activity also aids in color recognition and blowing bubbles can strengthen their hand-eye coordination and improves gross motor skills.

LEGO Pendulum Painting
This activity involves students building a pendulum out of LEGOs, string, and a paint cup with a hole in the bottom for the paint to come out onto the paper/poster underneath. Teachers will need a specific set of LEGOs that includes a hook (https://www.amazon.com/LEGO-DUPLO-First-Trucks-10816/dp/B017B19LD2/ref=as_li_ss_tl?s=toys-and-games&ie=UTF8&qid=1471199327&sr=1-1&keywords=duplo+trucks&linkCode=sl1&tag=stithewon-20&linkId=02732ca6ff288b792fbc80afddfd0659) but otherwise any other LEGOs can be used to build the pendulum. This activity can be used interdisciplinary with STEM instruction as students will be exploring and experimenting with various designs and techniques to create an art piece on the paper below. While building, teachers can ask students how can they improve the pendulum, what happens when they push the pendulum hard or soft, and how do they think different types of paints might react with the pendulum. Making this activity as student driven as possible is encouraged, so teachers should support student ideas and innovations to the activity as they try and explore new things.

Robot Math
Students will be challenged to design a robot using a variety of random shapes. The shapes will be determined by using a teacher-created die with various shapes on it. This activity can be used interdisciplinary with STEM instruction because it encourages students to draw while also helping them learn simple geometry/math skills and aids in shape identification. It also promotes creativity and can prompt students to put their design skills to the test to see how many different robots they can create using a circle, rectangle, oval, triangle, semicircle, and trapezoid.

Butterfly Feeder
Students can learn about what different life forms by making a butterfly feeder. Making a butterfly feeder helps students learn about what other living things need to survive, while also prompting them to use their creativity and artistic skills when it comes to decorating the butterfly feeder. This activity can be used interdisciplinary with STEM instruction as it allows students to practice their creativity and observation skills. Each student can make their own butterfly feeder at home for more variety and individuality and report back to their classmates, if they would like. This would also allow them to explore their own creativity and teach them how they can support butterflies as pollinators.

Floaters and Sinkers

This activity allows for students to experiment by testing whether certain objects float or sink in a tub or large bowl of water. This ignites their curiosity while also teaches them that different objects have different characteristics and properties. This activity can be used interdisciplinary with STEM instruction as it enables students to become more aware of the properties of different objects while also encouraging them to explore different objects and to test them out through experimenting. Teachers can prompt students throughout the activity by asking them if the object is heavy/light, what they think the object will do, and have them categorize the "floaters" and the "sinkers" objects in two different bins. This activity overall promotes and fosters metacognition in the classroom and is a fun and easy way to teach young students about density.

Recycled Marble Run
This activity encourages and promotes ingenuity by allowing students to test and experiment with different mazes and directions. Using old and cut toilet paper rolls, a marble, and tape, students can work together to map out different routes for the marble to travel through. Marble runs/mazes are great because they help students develop spatial awareness, problem solving skills, creativity, collaboration, and hand-eye coordination. This activity can be used interdisciplinary with STEM instruction by allowing students to work together to use their creativity and design skills to figure out different ways to run the marble through the track/maze. The teacher can prompt students by asking them how they can improve their maze, ask them if they want to divide into teams to race, or come together to develop one large maze for the marble to run through.

Oobleck
This activity involves mixing cornstarch and water to make slime or "Oobleck." It can encourage students to be creative when it comes to selecting different colors and is also a great sensory tool for them to explore and engage with. Oobleck can be used interdisciplinary with STEM instruction as it can help children develop their observation and prediction skills and it is an easy way to introduce children to basic science concepts of matter.
