Because some people are taking advantage of the fac that they are defending their lifes.I think that the people that are protesting are just wiasting their time because BLM does not mean anything because their the ones that are mostly killing rn.

We should use the MLK approach as the approach is peaceful so there will not have to be a conflict to get justice. Also if they use violence that does not guarantee that those who are against will also use it. In addition, Malcolm X's practices do not give the impression that he does not speak more victims because of the way he wants to achieve justice. The test is important because people act that way regardless of whether they are against or in favor of the MLK or Malcolm X approach. the point that you disagree with my point. is that Malcolm X has a better focus since it helps more and makes that if they do not do justice they will do it for example that they will use the paper or the bullet if necessary. the point is important since it helps to give another perspective of how to do things and that people are willing to take non-peaceful actions to obtain justice.

The MLK approach is going to be more effective or it has already affected us when we stand up and talk about it . There has been some violence when there was a few marches and that led up to the stores closing more police problems and we don't want more problems we want to fix them not make it get worse. So obviously violence is not the right choice but if more people stand up and talk about the problems we are having and think about a way we can solve it. We can all make an agreement and talk it out instead of destroying stores and stuff like that. I mean MLK made it better it is still racist in this society but back then it use to be worse and we can make it better.

I believe that the Malcolm X way will be more effective and will for sure get attention. For decades people have been using Martin Luther King Jr's way, peaceful protest, no rioting, and yeah it's gotten us a little closer to what we want, but has it really worked? Has the oppression stopped? Are black people and minorities getting equal rights? Are we getting the same opportunities that white people have been getting for centuries? We've been peaceful for so long, but we always go back to square one. Its an ongoing cycle that needs to be broken and it sucks that violence gotta happen but the system only has themselves to blame, for not listening, considering, and not being open to change. How many more black deaths do we gotta see online to understand that being peaceful hasn't gotten us the change we deserve, its time to start a new way of being heard. "Nobody can give you freedom. Nobody can give you equality or justice or anything. If you're a man, you take it."

MLK's approach to protesting is more effective in 2020. People are more likely to listen when others are peaceful. There will be less destruction. Houses won't be burned, businesses won't be broken into etc. The government won't listen to people that are destroying things. They are more likely to listen and want to listen when people are calm and peaceful. MLK said, "I am convinced that for practical as well as moral reasons, nonviolence offers the only road to freedom for my people." MLK wanted to encourage people to be calm and peaceful for reasons that led to change. This is why I believe MLKs approach to non violent protesting in 2020 is the right way.

I believe Malcolm X's approach is more effective. " It's got to be the ballot or the bullet, the ballot or the bullet. " This is evidence because this tells us if we don't fight for what we believe in, we will never get what we need. " I'm nonviolent with those who are nonviolent with me. But when you drop that violence on me, then you've made me go insane, and I'm not responsible for what I do. " This is evidence because we cannot let people that do not want us to be equal to push us around. We must fight to show them we will not give in until we get whats right. Malcolm X's approach is more effective to use in 2020.

Malcolm X is more effective because being peaceful won't get change and we won't be respected. Malcolm X said, "I think you'll have to agree that we're going to be forced either to use the ballot or the bullet. It's one or the other in 1964. It isn't that time is running out-time has run out!" The ballot didn't work because Trump became President after Obama so that leaves the bullet. He also said, "If you don't take this kind of stand, your little children will grow up and look at you and think "shame." If you don't take an uncompromising stand, I don't mean go out and get violent; but at the same time you should never be nonviolent unless you run into some nonviolence." Our children will be ashamed if we don't force change to happen and people won't respect us if we're peaceful to those violent to us.
Davina Vela
