No because so many people are starving. Globally 842 million people are undernourished. Also in 2008 more than 1.4 billion adults were underweight. This shows that the world is not producing enough food for everyone. Nearly 870 million people of the 7.1 billion people in the world or 1 in 8 were suffering from undernourishment in 2010 to 2012. Most hungry people are in developing countries and 16 million are in developed countries. It shows that even people in developed countries aren't getting enough food to eat or are struggling. This just proves my point that the world is not producing enough food for everyone to eat. Also there is a lot of wastage and if people were more considerate and didn't throw food out then we would have more food to share.

Rather than throwing perfectly good food out it could be used by the people who need it the most. Around 350 kg of food is wasted by each person each year that could be given to the people in need of clean water and food. In certain countries food is taken for granted where many of the population are overweight or obese whereas in poorer countries food is scarce.

We dont have the ability to feed the world, if the farmers have a bad season through drought or floods the crops are destroyed or not grown then this causes less food around the world.

Ultimately, yes. The way it is distributed is a different factor. Undernourishment is chronic in developing countries, with 15 per cent of the undernourished people living in these countries, which shows that food is harder to access. This is probably due to a lack of resources and money. Poverty and inequality are intricately connected to hunger. The world already produces 1 1/2 times enough food to feed every person on the planet, which is enough to feed 10 billion people- the expected population for 2050. Unfortunately, not everyone has equal access to it. The demand for food is expected to increase by 14 per cent per decade, and, if the agricultural businesses and food producers are able to keep up and continue to develop, this should not be a problem. More than 1.4 billion adults were overweight in 2008, and more than half a billion were obese. Furthermore, approximately 1.3 billion tonnes of food gets lost or wasted every year. This further proves that there is enough food in the world to feed everyone.

In my opinion, I believe that the world is capable of producing enough food to feed everyone. Food wastage plays a large role in the problem of hunger. Every year, consumers in rich countries waste as much food as the entire net food production of sub-Saharan African. This is a total of 222 million tonnes of food wastage each year. Roughly one third of the food produced in the world for human consumption every year, approximately 1.3 billion tonnes, is either lost or wasted. The pricing of food items can create an obstacle for struggling families. People are forced to spend as much as 80 percent of their income on food, meaning that even the slightest increase in food pricing can have a particularly devastating impact on what families can afford. This shows that families around the world are struggling to feed one another, whereas there are people who are obese.

Female farmers are disadvantaged due to the lack of resources. If women were to receive the same quantity of resource as men, the number of hungry people in the world could be reduced by up to 150 million. People, those who can afford food, can take the variety of consumables available to them for granted. If people, such as the 500 million small- scale farms around the world, helping to put food on the plates of two billion people which is one in three people on Earth, gave more and reduced their food wastage. The world would be a step closer to feeding everyone on earth.

Approximately 1.3 billion tonnes of food is wasted or lost every year and around the world there is 842 million people who are undernourished and not receiving enough food. Out of those 842 million undernourished people only 16 million are from developed countries. So, the main problem with producing enough food to feed everyone is peoples access to the food, in developed countries there is easy access to food whereas in developing countries there is less access and the largest percentages of undernourishment.
