Malcolm X was born on May 19, 1925, in Omaha, Nebraska and had 7 siblings. His father (Earl Little) was an an active member of the local chapter of the Universal Negro Improvement Association and avid supporter of Black nationalist leader Marcus Garvey. In 1931 his father died because of an street car accident. But the family think that Earl Little was murdered by white supremacist, which wished Earl Littles death.

In his highschool time, when Malcolm X was asked what he want to be in the future, he said that he want to be a lawyer. But his english teacher said that he should be realistic and work in a carpentry. This was the reason why Malcolm X quitted school at an age of 15.

Due his prison time he learned about the "Nation of Islam" and was an close confidante of the leader of the "Nation of Islam", who is called Elijah Muhammed. The reason of his imprisoning was drug dealing and burglary. He was a good speaker, which convinced people to join the Nation of Islam due the time in prison. The prisoners started to pray with Malcolm X, who joined the Nation of Islam. This made the white guards nervous because they thought that he would start a race war. That is the reason why the FBI did put Malcolm X on a "watch list".

After his time in prison, he rised up in the "Nation of Islam" and became minister of the temple in Harlem (New York). And also the nation of islam got more members because of Malcolm X good speaking skills. He tried to encourage the african american nation to be proud of who they are and not to compare them with the "white nation". Furthermore he tried to encourage the african american nation to open up their own businesses, like barber shops, butchers, restaurants and clothing stores in Harlem. He said that if the african american people get attacked by the "white nation" they have to defend themselves by attacking back. But only when the people get attacked. He said that it is forbidden to attack someone. But if someone attacks you, you can defend yourself. This was what he just wants: people have to defend themselves from beeing attacked.
 
He had the same thoughts like Martin Luther King. But there was one point that he never agreed with Martin Luther King at all. Malcolm X said that Martin Luther Kings protest shows the african american nation as a defenceless nation. Malcolm said that King should defence himself against the white nation. But Martin Luther King never responded against Malcolm X´s comments about his kind of protest.

In 1958 he met his wife Betty Sanders and had 6 children with her.

He started a lot of protest and speaked a lot of his speeches. But after a pilgrimage in 1964, he was a changed man and when he camed back to America, he did leave the Nation of Islam. The reason is that he see that the "white nation" wasn´t bad as the leader of NOI said. After he leaved the Nation of Islam, he started a new group called Muslim Mosque Inc. Then he became a target for the NOI. He said that he is a dead man already.

In 1965 he was shot by a member of the NOI. He had suffered 21 gun wounds because of this incident.
