You can also book 1-to-1 advice sessions, for troubleshooting exhibition based queries and issues. Be aware that we are a proactive team installing a lot of exhibitions and projects throughout the academic year, so book at your own discretion.

We have bookable group practical sessions covering work installation sessions for Camberwell, Chelsea and Wimbledon colleges.

Graduating in 2017 from Chelsea with an MA in Fine Art, his practice looks at the cross section between painting and installation with a focus on mental health, memory, material and theoretical identity. Alongside his artistic practice he has expertise in gallery and auction house exhibition installation, technical fabrication, exhibition planning, delivery and teaching. Working for a number of years as a freelance technician at galleries and art fairs around the world he has recently joined UAL after a number of years at the Barbican where he helped plan, build, oversee and install their exhibitions.

A Goldsmiths Graduate with a Design BA, focusing on interdisciplinary making, my professional practice meshes teaching and exhibition design. Having recently left Maison S.Sommet, a ceramics studio, after 3 years as a studio manager and artist assistant - Lenny continues their ceramic practice independently.  With 7 years working for 4D Design Agency, specialising in art fair and gallery space design, covering design conception to fabrication and installation lend to the technical troubleshooting. Having been a tutor and workshop facilitator for 10 years covering digital, physical and theoretical making, they are ready to have a chat to make technicalities into realities!

Sam studied a BA Fine Art at Nottingham Trent University, and an MFA at The Glasgow School of Art and still maintains an artistic, mainly sculptural practice now. He has a background in all things technical when working in Art Galleries and Museums around the UK and spent over 7 years as a freelancer working at a range of institutions on build, install and fabrication. He recently joined UAL after spending 3 years working as an Exhibitions Technician at The British Museum.

George has recently competed an MMus in Sonic Arts at Goldmsiths UoL, and has a long-standing practice in sound art, centring tape, field recording and installation. He also has extensive broadcast experience with Resonance FM and co-operates the experimental imprint Brachliegen Tapes. Professionally, he previously worked in Tate's Learning department, first in the Tate exchange program, and then producing large-scale public engagement work including the UNIQLO Tate Play program. 

Matt Evans

Matt graduated from the University of East Anglia with a BA in TV, Theatre and Film and has since worked extensively in the planning, design & build and production for film, photography, theatre and immersive performances, art installations and exhibitions.  He has worked with UAL since 2015.

• Addressing known skill gaps, ensuring safety for students and buildings.

• Instilling a culture of professionalism, allowing students to showcase their work autonomously and creatively.

• Enhancing students' skills to qualify them for various Arts Temps positions, involving them in all stages of the design and build process.

• Providing guidance, feedback, and networking opportunities, offering practical, industry-standard exhibition, presentation and display experience.

• Acknowledging current limitations and establishing a professional working practice for exhibition and show delivery.

• Engaging courses through various modes suited to their culture and teaching, refining our approach collaboratively.

• Fostering a reflective and inclusive professional culture, building supportive relationships and community.
