This is another book I am reading. I connect with Mahindon because he is a father separated from his son. The connection I made was relating to how much Mahindon loved his son and how upset he was by the forced separation. I understood his feeling because I am separated from my kids when they go to their dad's for a week. I am getting more used to it, but I still hate it!

1. In my book The boy in the striped pajamas by John Boyne, I connect with Gretel because she is a older sister and so am I. Gretel pretends she knows all about the house and why its called the outwith house but she is very wrong. She pretends that Bruno knows nothing about where they are and why they are there and she acts like she knows all that stuff. But in reality she is really wrong. I am like Gretel whenever we go somewhere new , I pretend like I know everything all the time but I am usually very wrong.
2. I connect with Bruno as well because when I don't like something or I feel like something is not fair, I will not let it go. I will tell all my friends and family and I will often Complain until its over or I get my way. Bruno is doing the same thing about the move. He is calling his father stupid and he is sulking in his room. Bruno is obviously not happy with the move and he will complain to everyone.

I connect with Gerta because, she was really close with her older brother and I am too close with my older sister. And she also looks up to him and so do I.

I connect with Uncle Red the most because he is always trying to protect Zara which is kind of like me and my siblings, I always try to prevent or help them stay out of trouble and I also connect with Mrs.Tally because in the book she tries to get some medications even though it could get her in trouble and I kind of did that once because my brother got grounded to his room and I felt sorry for him so I snuck him a book that belongs to me but he loves to read even though I could've gotten caught.

In the story The Boy in the Striped Pajamas I connect most with Bruno because he does not like change, like in the story when he moves from his old house to a remote old run down house in the middle of nowhere near to a concentration camp. I can relate to that because I have never moved but I have had renovations on my house and did not like that.
I can also connect with Bruno because he is adventurous and likes to always have something to do.
I can also connect to the story the story because Bruno's older sister Gretel is usually annoyed by Bruno. I can relate to that because my younger brother and I always bicker with each other and I am easily annoyed with him.

In A Boy In The Striped Pajamas I connect with Bruno when he did not like his new house. Bruno liked the house in Berlin better than outwith. When I was young like Bruno I was very curious as well as him. When we switched houses I was confused why we did. Just like Bruno I wanted to go back home. My second connection is also with Bruno. When we moved houses I switched schools and had to make new friends. Even though In A Boy In The Striped Pajamas he also moved cities I could only relate with moving and missing my friends from my old school.

I connect with Uncle Red because he knows the consequences of trying to get back at the Nazis or go on a supply run. And at home I have consequences if I to do something destructive or sneak things around. Also Uncle Red is trying to do all he can so he and Zara can survive. By working till he passes out. Once when I was helping my dad cut grass at a store outside of Red Deer and a huge hail storm started to roll in . We had to work triple time in order to get the job done before we got caught in the hail

I connect with Zara from my book THE ONLY THING TO FEAR because of how she kept trying to help Mrs. Talley escape with perseverance like how when I first started lacrosse I was pretty bad but tried my best to get better. I can also connect with Uncle Red and how he looks after Zara like how I look after my brother.

I connected with Fritz from the book, "A Night Divided" written by Jennifer A. Nielsen, because whenever someone is bothering my sister at school (when we were in the same school) I would stand up for her or tell whoever bugging to back off or just stay away from her. Another way is if something made her sad i would comfort her to make her feel better, in chapter 12 of A Night Divided Fritz protected Gerta from the Stasi but one thing was the Stasi that was holding onto Gerta was one of Fritz's old friends Viktor. By Viktor joining the Stasi's it changed his personality and he clearly was strict. (Just like the other Stasi's)

The character I connected with in A Night Divided by Jennifer A. Nielsen is Fritz, because I'm the oldest child in my family and i have two younger siblings. Another connection I made with him because if someone were to bug my sister I would try my best to help her, also I am very close to my little sister.

My first connection in The Boy in The Striped Pajamas was with Bruno when I moved to my new house and I had to go to a new school with new neighbors. Almost everything in my life was now new and I had to make new friends with the people at my school and in my neighborhood. Bruno and me both didn't like moving but I ended up loving my new home. My second connection is how sometimes, my parents say things I don't really understand and that I feel like they don't care. I do at one point realize that they want what's best for me and in the end everyone is usually happy.

The connection that I had with A Night Divided was that I connected with Anna, Gertas friend because Anna lost her beloved brother Peter and for the next few days Anna wanted to avoid talking and making conversations with other people. The connections that I had with Anna was that when I was in grade four I lost my very loved great grandma and for the next few days I did not want to talk with any other people, I did not even want to talk to my parents most of the time.

My first connection to the book, The Boy in the Striped Pajamas was with Gretel, as I am also an older sister, and 12 years old. Some people do call me a hopeless case at times, but mostly they refer that jokingly, so it doesn't bother me much. Also, when I go to a new place, I tend to act high and mighty, but in reality I don't really know most things. I reason why I do this is just to boost my confidence in myself and just to make myself seem smarter in front of my younger sibling.

I also connect with Bruno quite a bit, as I tend to complain and fuss about many things that I'm unfamiliar with. I respect my parents a lot, but I do tend to want to argue with them.

I connect with all of the characters in a certain way, as I have moved to a unfamiliar environment, just like Bruno, his mom, sister and others.

I connected with Gerta because I have been separated with my family unexpectedly, because I have been separated from them when I was probably eight we were at the store and I wandered into in to the toy section in the store thinking that my mom was following close behind. That is similar to how Gerta got separated from her papa and her brother dominic through the night while she was unknowing about all that was going on.
