We have niyyah in doing anything for the sake of Allah to gain His blessing in us. Seeking knowledge is endlessly. That’s why we have to be patience and Iman in our hearts ♥️.

Even you have a good grade, comes from a wealthy family or ‘gifted’ person, it doesn’t mean you have the right to disrespect your educators. Listen to them and obey their orders as long as it doesn’t lead you to the bad things.

Always prepare ourselves as we are the students in a learning process. Come early to the class, take notes and revise back what the lecturers have said.

Islam

Since we were kids, we learned and acknowledge about the 5 pillars of Islam. First is there’s no God other than Allah SWT and Prophet Muhammad SAW is the Messenger. Second is Muslims pray five times a day facing the Kaaba. Third is fasting during the holy month of Ramadhan. Fourth is Muslims donate a fixed portion of their income to th community members in need and we calling it Zakat. And the last one is Hajj; the pilgrimage to Mecca

Iman

The firm belief in our hearts and souls towards 6 pillar of Iman. Belief in the Oneness of Allah, belief in the angels, belief in the Kitab (books of Allah), Belief in Allah’s Messengers, Belief in the Day of Judgment and Belief in Pre-destination.

Ihsan

We as the servants of Allah, we cannot see Him. But He sees us and we have to obey His commands.

The Day of Judgment

When is the day of judgment ? None of us will know about it. But there are a lot of signs; Minor signs and Major signs

Belief in Allah

Belief in Allah is the main pillar out of the six. Allah guide whoever put trust on him, he will provide us safety from the punishment of Hell, despair, devil and etc. Our belief in Allah involve the belief in his Almighty power, which entails the constant attempts to obey his commands.

Belief in Angels

Without this, one’s Iman isn’t complete. Allah has sent us 4 angels and one devil per person. Two angels protecting us while the other two will record our deeds.

Belief in Kitab

As a servant, we have to believe in the Holy Quran and other Kitab such as; Zabur, Taurat and Injil. All the commandments written in the scriptures and live our life according to the guidance by Allah.

Belief in Prophets

Prophet are the best model we could ever follow. Prophets were chosen among humans but not angels, this is because Allah SWT knows that the quality of human being is the best creature. Prophets receive the revelation and offer it to others, and they guide human beings through their journey towards knowing Allah, and not believing in them is equivalent to not believing in the whole religion.

Belief in the Day of Judgment

The day of judgment is situated at the end of time, and everything we know of it challenges the natural rules of the world, yet our belief in it must be undying. The day of judgment inspires us to discipline our hearts and minds, and force ourselves to abide by the rules of Islam; as the day of judgment is when all human beings are held accountable for their actions during their lives. 

Belief in the Divine Decree (Qada’ Qadr)

Are human beings’ choices their actual choices, or are they the unchangeable destiny of Allah? They are both. The belief in the divine decree means the belief that our lives aren’t controlled by us, but are controlled by Allah, who has designed our whole lives for us in advance but is yet giving us the chance to sometimes make choices of our own.

For examples;

• Treating people with good character

• Exceeding in everyday life

• Performing good deeds with the awareness that Allah is watching

• Cultivating a profound awareness of God in all that you do

Like Prophet Nuh AS for example, he spread his dakwah to his people for 925 years long he did that for the sake of Allah

We learned about Prophet Ibrahim AS with his father. He still being a good son towards his father eventhough his father was a nonbeliever.

Adab towards Parents

Always respect our parents no matter how bad they are

Have a patience with our parents and accept them eventhough they are disabled, have different opinions, old and etc.

We have to pray for them until our last breath because maybe it could help them to be in heaven in the Hereafter.

We also have to show gratitude because that’s how we appreciate them for raising us.

Adab towards Neighbours

Eventhough we have a different background or race, we have to respect them as a humanity

Create a good relationship with neighbours by giving food on festive days.

Adab towards Friends

We can always pray for their success and happiness as it will back to us.

If you’re not liking others, it doesn’t mean you have to backbiting (Ghibah). Learn and fix our Akhlaq 🤍

Usrah is more than just a gathering; it is a space for spiritual growth, sisterhood, and self-improvement. I have gained deeper insights into Islamic teachings, strengthened my faith, and built meaningful connections with fellow members. Through sharing knowledge and experiences, I have learned to be more empathetic and mindful in my daily life.

I hope that our Usrah continues to be a source of guidance and inspiration for all of us. May we remain steadfast in our faith, support one another, and apply the values we discuss in our daily lives. We grow together in our journey towards becoming better Muslims.

In Islam, acts of worship must come from authentic sources. Unlike general life matters, you can’t invent new forms of worship, it has to be based on what Allah and the Prophet ﷺ taught 🤍

I learned the importance of being consistent in my worship and striving to improve my character. How valuable it is to be part of a supportive community that reminds each other of Allah. Also, learned that even small good deeds, if done sincerely, can have a big impact. I learned to appreciate different perspectives and how they can deepen my understanding of Islam. Not to forget, personal growth is a continuous journey, and Usrah is a meaningful part of that path.

I wish for more interactive activities to make the sessions even more engaging. Hoping for more discussions on real-life challenges and how to apply Islamic values to them.

and lastly, I wish the Usrah group continues to grow and inspire more students.
