Abraham Maslow 

Born in 1908, Brooklyn New York.

Died in 1970 of a heart attack.

He first studied law at City College of New York, he later then attended University of Wisconsin, becoming interested in psychology. He worked with Harry Harlow who was famous for experimenting on baby monkeys and their behaviour.

Physiological needs;
The need to have food, water, protein etc…
Maintain a pH balance and temperature.
The need to stay active, to rest, sleep etc…

Safety and security;
Finding safety, stability and protection.
Develop a need for structure and order.

The need for friends, children and relationships.

The esteem needs;
2 versions of esteem needs- lower and higher.

Lower- the need for respect of others, status, fame, attention etc…

Higher- the need for self-respect which includes feelings like confidence, achievement, independence and freedom.

Fulfilling your potentials.

To reach this point your lower needs to be taken care off.
