    • Early detection of possible outbreaks due to proper surveillance and data collection.  
    • Standardized local, state, and federal reports to ensure quick and efficient responses.  
    • PHI with a standardized vocabulary and coding structure to ensure all agencies understand data.

    The information, the videos and especially the chapter summaries were great. Breaking down the chapter into bite-size bullet points that captured the main idea of Chapter 17. Additionally the video post on the discussion board was a great kick off for our group project that tied everything together
