  • privacy and discrimination are the ethical issues. discrimination is when people see the research result, they will think people will mental issue tend to fail their academic work

    • To address the discrimination we could tell the public mental health is just a possible factor instead of a decisive factor.

    • Also the people with mental health issues might feel vulnerable and uncomfortable opening up

    To address this, we should interview the participants in a implicit way, asking them ' rate your mental health from 1 to 10 ' instead of asking them ' have you lost your parents'

    We should consider is confidentiality we should respect the information we receive from our participants and protect them at all costs. We should make sure that they participate voluntarily and we need to make sure they don't feel pressured or coerced to volunteer by not pressuring them to join, we should also store our data in files that are protected and saved.
    - There are many ethical issues that could emerge while conducting our research one way we could address them is by following the Belmont Report, this ensures respect for persons, beneficence, and justice.
    - Some of the measures we need to take is procedural ethics and ethics in practice. Therefore we need to provide consent forms for our volunteers and we need to ensure that we follow our ethical practices whilst doing the research.
