I really liked working with the different applications and having to do research on some of the different types of disabilities. I have worked with ED children over the course of 10 years, but besides them I didn't have the understanding of the others. Dr. G. provided information that students need to know rather than providing homework just to beef up the course. I really liked this aspect because it allowed me to produce my best work, rather than feeling like I was overwhelmed. I was however flustered, but that was definitely not because of this course it was because I am taking 17 credit hours and working full time. I feel there is always room for improvement and to grow and thats just what I'm trying to do. This will be my last semester at Butler and probably one of my favorites. I have been able to let others know my past and having cancer and that is not something that I have ever done. I am a pretty private person. I am learning that sharing these things provides others hope and allows me to connect with others. I also feel that I was able to grow just by being able to understand others and learning about different types of disabilities. The tech tools that we had to use provided a spin on homework that I have never thought about. The work provided allowed the students to show their best work rather than the teacher putting in a bunch of filler assignments. Dr. G. was without a doubt the BEST teacher that I have ever had. She brings excitement into the classroom and learning environment and is one that is always willing to help others.
