The answer is NO. 
Life is a test from Allah. Unfortunate life events happen. Life isn't all sunshine and roses but it sure helps to have a little happiness each day if we have faith in Allah. Allah always knows what is the best for us. Allah the all knowing.

In suratul Baqarah verses 216, Allah say β€œβ€¦It may be that you dislike a thing which is good for you and that you like a thing which is bad for you. Allah knows but you do not know.” (Surah Baqarah 2:216)

The world isn’t out to get you, because it never had a say in your life to begin with. The One who decreed the unfortunate circumstances, is none other than the Almighty.

Allah SWT planned for us to go through that particular situation, at that exact time. He had a plan formulated for us before we were born. In fact, Allah decreed everything from the beginning of time until the end.
We should be always have faith in Allah because He always knows what is the best for us.

"Trusting Allah (swt)’s plan is vital to your own success in this world." 
(Surah Al-Hajj 22:70)
Trust that you were destined to face this challenge. Trust that you’ll become better because of it.

Trust that Allah’s plan is the journey you’re being allowed to take. The journey that ensure your success in this life.

Allah SWT loves us many times more than our mothers. Sometimes, He takes things away from us or puts us through experiences that give us pain. But He always does what is best for us. We may not see it now. We may not see it for years. We may not see it till the next world. But we must have faith that whatever He does is always for the best. There is always some good in a loss, in a trial, in a difficulty, or in a suffering. Trust Allah. He is Al-Hakeem, the Most Wise. He is Al-Aleem, the Most Knowing.

We should always ask Allah to heal and give peace in our heart.

Why tsunami in Aceh? God has not yet given (the tsunami) to other people, He gave (it) to Aceh first, right? Perhaps it is also a test. Now people live according to ShariΚΏa rules again, perhaps it was a test.   • People of patience will be awarded unlimited reward. According to the Quran, only sabr has this special quality. Quran says: β€œTruly, those who persevere patiently will be requited without measure.” (39: 10) 

  • From those People who have patience are the rightful people to lead so we can say leadership comes with patience as Allah said in Quran: β€œAnd We made from among them leaders guiding by Our command when they were patient and [when] they were certain of Our signs.” (32:24)

  • The reward of being patient while the true believer is afflicted with any kind of calamities and trials. Holy Prophet (SAW) said: β€œNo fatigue, nor disease, nor sorrow, nor sadness, nor hurt, nor distress befalls a Muslim, even if it were the prick he receives from a thorn, but that Allah expiates some of his sins for that.” (Al-Bukhari)

  • If you are patient in all your sufferings then the patient ones will receive plenty of rewards for their good deeds. Allah says in Holy Quran: β€œOnly those who are patient shall receive their rewards in full, without reckoning.” (39:10)

  • Those who will remain patient will enter into Paradise. Allah said in Quran: β€œThose will be rewarded with the highest place (in Paradise) because of their patience. Therein they shall be met with greetings and the word of peace and respect.” (Quran, 25:75)

By understanding the importance of patience in our life, we can learn to stay in control of our emotions and avoids negative feelings such as anger, frustration and helplessness. People who are patient, tend to experience less depression and negative emotions, perhaps because they can cope better with upsetting or stressful situations. They also rate themselves as more mindful and feel more gratitude, more connection to mankind and to the universe, and a greater sense of abundance.

Reduces stress levels
When you learn and practice patience you don't get as angry, stressed or overwhelmed. You are more in control of your emotions and in a better position to deal with difficult situations with ease and poise. This promotes longevity and makes you a happier and healthier person.

Helps develop understanding and compassion
You are more understanding and compassionate with others when you are patient. Patient people take time to process what they go through and are able to determine what it takes to overcome obstacles so they are more understanding of others. This results in better, more fulfilling relationships with family, friends and communities.

Helps acquire positive attitude
If things are not going the way you want them to, instead of getting frustrated,  you must learn to be patient. You need to see things and situations in a positive light to make your life happier. And to get that positivity, you need to be patient. If you find any life situation challenging, or find it difficult to bear, try to re-frame that situation and try to see its positive side.

When we are patient, people will easily get along with us and Allah loves people wo are patient. Allah will grant them rewards and forgive their sins.

Results in better decision making
When you're patient you take time to assess the situation, see the big picture, and weigh any pros and cons. The chances of making a big mistake lessen because you avoid making it in haste. Taking the time to solve the problems requires patience and deliberation.
