On June 22, the Mac Miller Fund announced awarded 75 micro grants of $1000 to Black, Indigenous and People of Color (BIPOC) artists. Although Mac passed a few years ago his legacy still remains. He was the kind of talent who separated himself from the expectations of the traditional hip hop narrative by looking for glory and remaining humble when he got there. His music helped connect with many fans to this day, Mac talked about his struggles he faced with and I can say his music is something I can feel safe with because he talks about many relatable things that stick with me. His humbleness, eagerness great charisma is something that I want to model my life after.
