For the two young girls,  what the actress represents is more important than true feelings. 
Kirsten Dunst looks hurt, upset, and dismayed ( consterné)  because she does not understand their behaviors  and interest.. This is the other side of fame.
The    moviemaker [filmmaker]    denounces [mocks] people who spend their time posting on social networks.

As soon as Gray discovered his portrait, he seemed to be fascinated/  mesmerized by his self-image and obsessed with his appearance. He became aware of his own appeal and his potential as a young man. But he turned out  that he was also conscious of his mortality. He would have liked to stay young and handsome forever. He could not take his eyes off the painting, which is a proof that he loves it and himself. But he also experienced a kind of angst and a sense of wonder in front of his portrait which remind him of his transient youth and beauty.
