  • This also means that a competent mastery of film specific camera techniques and skills. Knowing how to set-up and operate film equipment is also essential for this e.g. dollies, steadicams ,blue/green screen

•In a basic sense, the Cinematographer is the leader in terms of visuals in a film, the cinematographer is the one who visually brings a story to life in film. This job can be split into two roles, the more prominent one who takes the lead on the more visual aspects of the film and the one who controls the camera/ visuals in the scene.

Through this test I found that I had high ability in the visuals, I am also suited for other jobs that require teamwork or more art related jobs such as an Art Curator.

  • - Storyboarding and being able to pre-visualising the film is also very important in this role. For this, teamwork skills is needed to make this process work properly as a lot of communication will be needed across the team and with the director as communication about what the end product should look like should be discussed first before making any final decisions alone.
  • Having the adaptability to solve problems on short notice is also of importance. Problems of weather, equipment malfunctions,budget limitations and artistic changes would often pop up during filming. Being able to make use of quick decision making is a skill that would work well in this career if developed.

    •  ▪Being able to cope with the technological advancements in film is also very important▪Being able to manage budget, and lead staff to help achieve the desired shot is also something that will have to be done.
