         <description><![CDATA[<div>It is challenging to do the moon phase  model presented, to help students because of too many light bulbs simultaneously.  It is also challenging to get the room dark enough to really see the phases.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>I agree that it is challenging to get the room dark enough to get the moon phase model to work with light.  The shadow is almost too light for the students to really see it with shadows.  We have styrofoam balls the only have half of the ball painted black, so  you can see the phase even with the room lights on.  You do need to indicate to the students that the light is at a specific point in the room and light side only faces the light source and the dark side is away from the light source.</div>]]></description>
