Pinterest's Saved UI

There are key differences between the design of Pocket's UI and Pinterest. Pinterest users view mainly images where as Pocket is mainly articles and readings. The Saved UI's have their differences, the images/information you save on Pinterest is much more accessible and require less viewing friction for the user. Friction meaning that users click one button to open the saved section and can scroll and view images easily. However on Pocket users save the articles and have to click their saved, open the article and find any relevant information within that article. Creating 3 steps of friction to find the information which is why Pocket lacks the simplicity in design that Pinterest has.

The differences between Pinterest and Pocket is quite prevalent. Pinterest's appeal is quick image based content where as Pocket is more condensed reading based content. Depending on your perspective and desires there are positives and negatives to each platform. Personally I prefer the quick content and the UI of Pinterest since i can absorb information better from images than from reading. However it is different for each and every person.
