I learned that Muhammad Ali took a risk by standing up for his Islamic beliefs to protest the enrollment in the US army for the Vietnam War. He gave up everything in his boxing career in order to take a stand against the war since the war was going against the sayings of the Holy Qur'an, which were important teachings of the Islamic religion.
