Professor, thank you for making the past two years of graduate school so amazingly joyful and meaningful. You are a model not only for teachers and educators, but for liberators in any field. As a result of having the privilege to know you and learn with you, I feel that I am now a better person than I was two years ago — and definitely a spicier person. I will truly never forget your class and all of the incredibly engaging discourse that happened there, and then in my own classroom as a result of it. Any impact I had on my students' lives and liberation had to have flowed through you first. Teach Like Hell!

There was more than once I felt like I was incapable, that I can't do this or that I was a lost cause for this profession. I straight up nearly quit last year (You already know), but I stayed on because of your encouragement, kindness, and unrelenting belief in me. I am eternally grateful to the point words cannot express to have had you as a professor and a mentor to this entire journey. Any student, educator or person who gets to be under your tutelage is blessed to have such a selfless, awesome, humorous, and amazing human to educate them, guide them, and be a kind spirit to them. Thank you for believing in me.

My growth as a teacher has been so impacted by this class, Prof Del and the amazing colleagues I’ve had the opportunity to collaborate with this year. I don’t know what I’m going to do without being able to have this space to come to every week, but I can only hope that I am able to create a place for my students that is as hard to let go of like Prof Del has for me. In any year, you’d be an amazing leader & teacher to us, but this year especially - you ROCK. BOOMSHAKALAKA ALWAYS!

It’s hard to describe with words the past year, but it is easy to say that your class uplifted me and the rest of the class. You honestly have been the biggest blessing to my life as a student. You have been not only graceful but you've been an amazing source of encouragement, especially when I needed it, didn't deserve it, and needed the support. You supported me in the biggest way in the effect of the loss of my mom last year. But, you honestly are the absolute best. I can not thank you enough for everything you have done for me both seen and unseen. I (am pretty sure but nonetheless) hope our paths will cross soon in another capacity. You are the best. Thank you for your patience. Thank you for your willingness to engage in conversations. Thank you for your humor! Thank you for the nearpod usage in class that shows us how to use it effectively with students. Thank you for the love in the curriculum you show. Thank you for the cultural competency in every part of the way. Thank you for the encouragement. Thank you for the reflection. Thank you for the strategies. Thank you for the space. Finally, thank you for the grades. Because without those grades, I wouldn't be getting this degree. Our Wednesday classes truly sparked something in me. I loved the environment that you were able to create in our virtual classroom. In many ways, I tried to do the same things in my virtual classrooms.
I am leaving this class with knowledge and experience that I could’ve only imagined of having last year and that’s just a testament to your hard work, accessibility, and dedication. All of the energy, support, and guidance you poured into the both myself and my peers has never gone unnoticed.
