         <description><![CDATA[<div>From looking at other activities and comparing them to my own I realized that the use of the same activity for the pre-teach/launch and the assessment can be the same activity. In hindsight I realized I actually did this for my launch but then didn't talk about it in my presentation. The takeaway for my students is that they get to see how much easier the activity is when they have a effective vocabulary to use.&nbsp;</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>I loved the paint chip idea the best-- it's a cheap and easy way to decorate a classroom and a great way to see synonyms/antonyms clearly since they can get jumbled or overwhelming.&nbsp;<br>The flip books and pop-up books were great for this reason, too, but more so as things students could take with them and add to throughout a unit.<br>The pop-up games also gave me great ideas since I'm in a class that doesn't get to move a lot or even speak up, so this is a great way to reach the talkative/active students and give the quiet students scripted things to say to ease speaking/standing up.</div>]]></description>
