While we can exactly know the economic impacts of this event one can assume the impact was great. With no shipments of new tea coming in soon the remaining tea would be little in supply therefore the demand for it would increase and so would it's price. Along with this even before the BTP, because the Tea Act was imposed the # of sellers in the market was only one and therefore they could set unfair prices which colonists had no other choice but to pay for if they wanted tea. A new source of lithium in the market would decrease the cost of the resource for technology such as batteries for electric cars. Now how does this affect the supply of batteries and cars. If more lithium is available and can be bought for cheaper the supply of Lithium will go up. Quantity supplied will increase and price will lower slightly. This is illustrated in the graph below. This will affect companies like Tesla and other electric car companies. They will be able to get batteries for cheaper and produce them cheaper for the cars therefore lowering prices. The article noted that during the pandemic at various times both homeschooling and private schooling significantly increased. What effect did this have on PS? During the pandemic in Michigan where the study was conducted 10% of kindergartners chose alternative schooling options and 3% for the rest of the school age population. As the pandemic continued the substitutes for PS became more desirable and people had expectations that they would be better. Therefore demand went up for the other options and down for PS's. The graph of demand for PS's can be seen below. People were affected and will be affected in many ways. For one thing private institutions will have an increased enrollment and make more money. Families who choose to homeschool will have a lot of work. If this did happen the demand for mexican food would greatly decrease. The majority of people would not want to be infected or anger the aliens so they would stop eating it.
