________________________________________________________________

This is a pixel drawing of one of my characters, Owltress! I made it a little while ago, but I still love how it looks! I spent forever on it since it's so detailed, but it was really fun to make! The animated version required a lot of different layers, so that took me a long time too! I want to say though that the funnest part was animating it. I used Scratch, so it's really just a bunch of code, but watching the drawing slowly start to come to life was a great experience! I don't think I'll do many pixel drawings or animated pixel art since it's always rather difficult, but the end results always look pretty cool, even if it isn't my usual style! One of the hardest parts of drawing this has to be the patterns, though. Owltress is very intricate and I had to make sure the markings all fit inside of their layer, or the animated result would look all weird and the patterns would be going all over each other.

- credits + links -
art : me
Owltress design : -litmoss / -thymesocks (on Scratch)
animated version : Animated Pixel Owltress

________________________________________________________________

This artpiece was really fun to make and took quite a while. I have no practice with dinosaur anatomy, so the pose looks a little off. This one was really fun to do, especially the shading and lighting! I've never drawn a dark-colored character on a dark-colored background before, so it took a lot of messing around to find the right amount of shadows and light. The background was hard to figure out, so in the end I wound up importing a photo and editing it since I couldn't draw it quite right. I really do like how the effects I applied made it look. They give it an extra layer of depth.
________________________________________________________________

- credits + links -
art: me
Astrophengia design: alostworld09imagon
see more versions: Astrophengia

______________________________________________

Compared to my Astrophengia artpiece, this one seems quite simple, but I like it! The hardest part was probably the background. Even though it's rather plain, the background took a lot of adjusting to find the right color that looks nice with everything else. I feel like the purple overlay made it look a bit fuzzy, but it looked worse without it. The end result wasn't exactly what I was hoping for, but it's nice!
______________________________________________

- credits + links -
art: me
Akira design: Burnt_Toast_Sockz
