There are many reasons that this specie is threatened such as habitat loss, fragmentation caused by vegetation clearance, overgrazing and soil erosion by animals, and habitat damage by vehicles.

The main reason that the black footed ferret is because of their diet. Black footed ferret rely mostly on prairie dogs, which is on the decline due to habitat loss.

In order to help protect this specie we need to cut on destroying the prairie dogs habitat, so they can replenish and will also help the ferret population.

There are many possible reason for the extinction of the Golden Toad, the main ones being drought and a rise in temperatures.

We could of prevented the extinction of this specie by putting the toads in a controlled environment and cut down on greenhouse gases that were released into the atmosphere at the time.

This specie is an indicator because it gives a warning to its environment, the  more darters there are the better quality the nearby water is. This is also one of the darters best successes.

In order to protect this species we must not over hunt them or disturb their habitat.

This is a keystone species because they control the populations of the animals they prey on and provide shelter for other animals with their abandoned gator holes.

To protect this species humans need to cut down on hunting and pouching of the alligators.

This species is considered an invasive species because it is not native to a specific region or area, it can move around quite a bit and be found in many different places.

There is a control program ran by  the Great Lakes Fishery Commission that is trying many different methods to controlling the population of this parasite.
