Well done Dominika, this shows some excellent evaluation on the work of Sylvia Pellissero and Florian Nicole.  This defiantely now meets M1, to complete achievement of MERIT levels.  Keep this quality of work and focus up throughout your FMP and you could be aiming at Distinction levels.  Does your Georgia O'Keefe influences have a place here too as a bit of contrast of style?

Make sure you take loads of your own photos as reference for your own work, and get stuck in to your experimenting! I wanted the colour splashes to speak for the emotion of the painting. I decided to use blue because blue is associated with sadness. I also added the flowers in order to give the painting balance. I noticed that in my artist research, Sylvia Pelissero used flowers and butterflies. I think I could have layered my colours because opacity of my colours is not the one I was aiming for. I think if the colours were darker, the painting would have had more depth and dimension. I wanted the flowers to be all same to add a pattern however, I think the painting could have been interesting if I drew different kinds of flowers. For example, if I had researched the flowers, I could have used ones that symbolise different things such as strength or love.
