To successfully organize your files, make sure to name them appropriately. You also want to make sure that you put specific documents in the applicable folder so as not to sift through hundreds of documents looking for the right one. He also brings up how he organized his physical notes, which was in a very similar way to his digital ones. Many college professors have a certain amount of material they plan on going through in a day and they aren't always willing to slow down to let you take detailed notes. It's also helpful for when you have a lot of notes to take and you don't want your wrist or hands to hurt. Learning how to quickly take notes can help you focus more on what is being said rather than the process of note taking itself. One way of quickly taking notes is to use a form of shorthand. Shorthand can be a personal way of shortening words, or it can be a well known method that you can memorize. 

This is an example of my notes when I need to write quickly (in this case not wanting to pause the videos I used in this padlet). There's a distinct lack of sentences and articles, but it helps me quickly get the ideas down.
