<title>Conventions are the mechanical correctness of writing. This umbrella term covers grammar, punctuation, and revision. In linguistics, the grammar of a natural language is its set of structural constraints on speakers&#39; or writers&#39; composition of clauses, phrases, and words. Punctuation is the use of spacing, conventional signs, and certain typographical devices as aids to the understanding and correct reading of written text, whether read silently or aloud. Revision is a process in writing of rearranging, adding, or removing paragraphs, sentences, or words. Together these create the writing trait of conventions.</title>

Friends and neighbors brought furniture to their new apartment downstairs, but no one brought anything big or soft or comfortable.
