Astronomy in china started more as a religious thing in thinking that they could count the heavens from the stars. Religions jumped into the astronomy movement thing. But China was focusing less with it but still cared a lot about the stars in the sky and discovered a lot of heavens from this. The Chinese astronomers had a good ability to select major stars in the heavens and measure their locations with mathematical accuracy. They used armillary sphere to see these things, but they do not know where it originated from. Later on the greeks and the Arabs made use of the armillary sphere.
Enthusiastic astronomers made a third method for measuring the location of stars. This became known as the Altaziumth.
The oldest star chart in the west at present has been attributed to the Greek astronomer Hipparchus(190-125 B.C.) a renowned scientist of the ancient world. He based the star measurements on the ecliptic system. Other astronomers like Shih Shen and Tan te, found that locating stars was getting very interesting. Astronomers like Lohsia Hung(circa 100 B.C.) and Chang Heng (A.D. 78-139) followed the path of pioneers. Fixing the positions of stars was really incidental to their main task of making new calenders or correcting an old one.

Ancient medicines and technique were taught to be medicated by parents. People that had a thing for the heart of healing were taken and made practice more techniques to heal and other things, they became the first doctors.
The first things done to heal was with the use of magic, but when more people started learning how to heal and fix, the magic was becoming ignored because more knowledge in medicating and healing people were becoming more known.
Chinese doctors of antiquity never really abandoned their practice on the powers of spirit world for help. Yin and Yang and the 5 elements became the basic part of Chinese Medicine for both diagnosing and treating illness. Yin and Yang were considered cosmic energies within the human body as well as throughout the universe. Yin was considered a negative, cold, dark, and female. Yang was considered positive, light, warm, and male.
Later on in the ancient Chinese times: religions like Confucianism, Taoism, and Buddhism all left their mark in the art of health the land. All these religions took the art of health and started doing their own thing or continuing with the research and discoveries. They later had similarities in religions or philosophy on the same things.
Chinese medical writings were discovered by archaeologists digging into China's past. They found them on bones and books, etc. A book called "The book of Changes" provided a complete system of divination concerning future events.
Later on when magic was still a way of treating, they found out that plants as well have something to do with the medical side of things and help in healings and diseases, so they started studying more of plants and leaves.

As i said before the religions before. They all take their own ways and have different gods and etc.
"Confucianism had its beginning in the Chou Dynasty, which, from 1030 to 221 B.C., ruled a much smaller China than now exists."(p.33) This religion was originated with K'ung Fu-Tzu, his latinized name, Confucius. He was one of ancient's greatest scholars. His teaching brought him wide renown.
Taoism was a philosophical system that sprang up in early china. The people of Taoism disillusioned with the everyday world. They believed that a fuller, more satisfying life could be attained with only the study of nature. Lao Tzu was the founder of Taoism. His teachings, inspired countrymen to abandon their harsh, daily existence for the promise of a better life with Taoism. The scholarly monks from the Taoist movement also believed in scientific and technological interests. One of the areas of activity was alchemy. They were drawn to this field of bubbling pots and potions by the hope of finding the elixir of life.
Buddhism, founder was Siddhartha Gautama, and it originated in India between the 6th and 5th centuries. Siddhartha was called the Buddha-- "the Enlightened One." They believe that Buddhism came to China at the time of the Christianity's beginning. They started establishing in northern Kiangsu in A.D. 65.
" The teaching of Buddhism were a good deal more religious in tone than either Confucianism or Taoism." (pg. 35)
life was a temporary state and suffering. Salvation can only be achieved only through Rigorous mental and physical practices.
Buddhism started to get millions of followers, not only from China but from East Asia as well.
