I am the eldest child of four siblings, and I have a big age gap between all of them.

With this, I find that I do the more loving choice in how I always do my best to act as both a third parent and an older sibling to lean on for all of them, especially our youngest. My version of (third) parenting, as the more loving choice, comes in several forms: (1) teaching them to regulate their (difficult) feelings than punishing them for it, (2) listening to them as an equal, especially with mental health and SOGIE-related things, (3) being a mediator between then and my parents in difficult situations, (4) and overall just being a good and present figure for them in the little things—bringing home their favorite snacks, helping them with schoolwork, and rushing to bookstores at night when they need something the next morning (because they're too shy to tell our parents).
