World View: Create the entire world to become more involved and help each other when times get rough
Beliefs: If the U.S. starts first to unite with other countries and have everyone become allies so we build together to become one strong united nation/world.
Policies: To maintain a
united world we should engage in military action, increase support for international agreements, pursue terrorists through the UN, spearhead international efforts to establish regulations to protect developing economies, and work with others to achieve a globally sustainable balance of development and environmental preservation.
Arguments For: Giving more power and authority to other organizations doesn't make us powerless, this will change the nature of the international system, help boost international trade and strengthen U.S. economy, and strengthening other institutions will anchor Russia, China, etc.
Arguments Against: We'll lose much of our international influence, cooperation could be dangerous, limit our ability to defend ourselves and encourage our enemies, tyrants will have a voice, and cost will be crazy for trying to help other people and put us in debt for what we really need at home.
