These two religions are different from each other. In Japan, it is disrespectful to point at someone or something or to look at someone using eye contact. Considered intimidating, you shouldn’t be doing that. It’s polite to take off your shoes in a japanese home and to follow laws and policies. You are not allowed to steal and can’t drink alcohol unless you are 20 or above. Penalties for possession, acquisition, and trafficking of drugs lead to severe fines and getting put in jail. 

There is a small population of people who are Christian in Japan however mostly people who practice Shinto and Buddhism.

It is a principal crop (aka the main crop of Japan). The reallocation is pretty stable. Other crops that Japan grows: sugar, vegetables, tea, fruit.  For 2018, the average income was 18,265,314. However it has dropped and went up over the years. Many people in Japan, aren’t as rich as people in the US but there are plenty of fortunate people who live in Japan.

The house of representatives and house of councilors both work with him however they come up with ideas and laws separately. There is also an emperor but they don’t participate in any of the government activities. Kind of like the queen of England. She doesn’t make laws or anything. She is just a representative of the country. The voting policy in Japan is you have to be 18 or above. Traditionally, the emperor allowed men to pass in their line but recently they have let women participate.

Their government is a little different from ours but they have mostly the same structure. There are 242 seats in the house of councilors and 475 in the house of representatives. People who get elected in the (HOC House of Councilors) serve for a 6 year term. Representatives are elected for a 4 year term.Generally the government will respect freedoms and unconstitutional discriminations however you should be careful with what you believe.Corruption has been a problem in Japan and elections are usually fair. Elections are very similar to the US. Voter turnout has ranged between 50 and 60 percent. Japanese government prohibits any forms of discrimination.

It’s important to be on time to places because people do care about timing. Always try to get to your train or bus stop early in case the train or bus comes earlier than expected. Most women can get jobs now but most of the time women would typically stay at home and take care of the kids. Pointing or signaling to someone is a bad way to go. Instead use your whole palm. Women and men both greet the same gender by bowing. If a man is meeting a woman, then they would shake hands. These are all things men and women do in Japan that not all countries do or follow.

Tokyo is full of famous attraction towers. For example: the Hachiko statue at Shibuya station, the broadcasting center, and the metro tower. Japan is full of cities and towns with lots of things to do, so it is a good place for tourists to visit. Something else they invented is a therapy robot called qoobo. It is a cushion with a motor and has a tail. It’s known for comforting people like an animal.

It has more than 6800 islands. Some of the main ones are: Hokkiado, Honshu, Kyushu, and Shikoku. It does have a volcano Mt Fuji but it is dormant so it is not always active. Since Tokyo is a big city, most of it is urban or suburban but there are some parts that are rural communities. Some towns are on mountains as well. Japan’s weather is very hot and humid during the summer. It’s an island located in East Asia. It is almost the same size of California which is hard to believe! Japan is frequently hit by earthquakes, volcanic eruptions, tsunamis.

Japan’s main crop is rice. They have natural resources like soybeans and many Japanese eat seafood. Since Japan is made up of islands, it is spread out. It’s located in the East Pacific and has more than 6800 islands which is a ton!! The main flavors japanese add for food is bitterness, sweet, hot, delicate, sour. Green tea is the main drink there. There is a lot of wildlife as well. In the months of August and September, typically Japan gets hit by typhoons which are a type of natural disaster similar to a hurricane.

The most important people in government are: the president, emperor. The president does most of the deciding and the emperor just represents the country. They have a judicial branch as well. A famous japanese artist Yayoi Kusama has designed pumpkin zentangles and turned them into infinity rooms.
