         <description><![CDATA[<div>Alexander Graham Bell was a Scottish born American inventor, scientist, and engineer. He was born on March 3, 1847 in Edinburgh, UK and died August 2,1922 in Beinn Bhreagh. He is credited for inventing the first practical telephone. In 1885 he co-founded the American Telephone and Telegraph Company.          <description><![CDATA[<div>Edwin Drake was an American businessman and the first American to successfully drill for oil. He was born on March 29, 1819 and died November 9, 1880.  He only drilled three wells while he lived. He was known as the "Father of the Petroleum Industry" due o the technology he devised to drill the first commercial oil well in the U.S. It revolutionized how crude oil was produced and launched the large-scale petroleum industry.<br><a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Edwin_Drake">https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Edwin_Drake</a></div>]]></description>

He was born on February 14, 1819 in Mooresburg, PA and died February 17,1890 in Milwaukee WI.  He is best known as the"Father of the Typewriter" even though he did not invent it.  He did develop the first practical commercial machine.          <description><![CDATA[<div>Robert Fulton was an American engineer and inventor who is mostly known for creating a successful steamboat. He was born on November 14, 1765 in Pennsylvania  and he died February 24, 1815 in New York.  His steamboat carried passengers from New York City and Albany, New York.
