I have our main slide deck guide us through that day's lesson plan, and embed videos and links to additional online content as needed (such as links to their etextbooks, Jamboards, Padlets, Google Docs, etc.). I also link in a separate slide deck for each group for in-class group activities--this provides an easy, familiar collaborative tool for them, and an easy way for me to check on how they are doing and what questions they might have. I also don't have to worry about chasing after anyone to turn in work done during class, as I have already collected it in the Google Slides. The tool isn't new: her suggestion is to use Google docs, but it could be any platform. I like the idea of taking an analog thing like an inspiration notebook and making it a digital practice for students as part of the creative process. I use them mainly to get conversations going and give students a break. I'm not sure these would help in an all digital environment, but to mesh digital and in-person learning, I like to use the team mode on quizlet, where students have to work together because each phone only shows some of the answers. I have coached in classrooms where they use Plicker and this gathers data that seems helpful for teachers. I have used in the past to create peer feedback "quizzes" for students to provide each other feedback during their final presentations. You can create a "quiz" with questions about a presentation, and once you lunch the quiz, students will be able to answer the questions based on the presentation they saw.
