Athens were poor and they were only able to own one slave.<br><br><br><br>Sparta: Like Sparta's men, women were expected to be strong and healthy- and to fight when needed. There were more helots than citizens in Sparta. The Spartans&nbsp; treated fearful.</div>]]></description>
