• At my school site we have an Autism Inclusion program, students who receive services from direct service providers like orthopedic, speech, adaptive pe. We also have Resources Specialist Program services (RSP) and SDC classrooms for students. 
• Our students receive community based instruction, we emphasize work experience because they are adults. 
• So, we have students who do speech language therapy, SDC classes and students who get pulled to do one on one support (RSP).

• The SDC classes will mainstream students into general education classes during music, art, P.E. and sometimes math (depending on their strength on the subject). During Adaptive P.E. the instructor will pull some of the peers from the class to make the activity more inclusive. For RSP we are a complete push-in model, so we make sure the students remain in the classroom (inclusive) when they receive services. 
• The students work at sites that are with the general public like retail, restaurant, landscaping. They have co-workers that are not in the program and are working their normal everyday jobs. 
• The students receiving special education services share the same recess and lunch time as the GE students. RSP students are in general education classrooms with their peers majority of the time. Besides that there isn't more inclusion I can tell you, that I know of.

• Only when there is an academic need that cannot be helped in the classroom, for example, focus. If the student cannot focus in a general education setting that tends to have a lot of peers, they may need a smaller setting to help them focus on learning. Their difficulty with focus could also be a distraction to other students. 
• When their behaviors are very destructive and dangerous to themselves and others.
• When behavior problems cannot be addressed in a general education setting. For example, students who are more on the aggressive side, they hit, and scratch others. When their behavior makes teaching difficult.

• All teachers need a lot more classwork with students with special needs because all teachers have students with disabilities. I don't think they need to certify but should take more courses to help them better support their students with disabilities. 
• I would say only if teachers have the patience and passion to work with students with special needs because without it would be disastrous. It's like someone teaching math with no passion, it is not benefitting the teacher because they are not enjoying their job but most importantly it does not help the students having a teacher who does not have a passion for their learning. 
• I would say yes as long as the teachers get compensated and have the choice to opt into whether or not they want to teach students with special needs. I do not think they should be forced.
