I can get winded walking up stairs. Asthma uses to control my life, I wouldn't do anything because I was so afraid of messing with my asthma I didn't live. So when I got older I decided to just live, I know how to control my asthma I just need to stay on top of it. Breaking from the hold asthma had on me was amazing. My brothers taught me how to protect myself, how to stand up for what's right. I was taught to stand up for what I believe in, to stand up for the little guy, to be a leader, not a bully. My brothers made mistakes and then told me to learn to from it. I plan to learn from all of my family's mistakes. My moms, brothers, dads, all of them. To be the person always welcoming everyone, to be the kids always breaking up fights, to be that kid that stands for what's good. I first stood up to a bully when my best friend for 3 years was being bullied. I handled it the next day, nothing more upset me than seeing her hurt. I wanted to fight them, but they taught me that violence is not the answer even if you are incredibly angry. They help me control my anger even today. My mom was a gamer girl in high school, all my brothers were, and I am now. Gaming brings everyone closer in my house, just sitting in front of the tv and playing in a fantasy world is comforting.
