Bacteria are said to be very successful because they have survived and changed little over several billion years. Other parasites can live only live by invading the body of an animal or plant. Still others can live with little or no oxygen. Bacteria, which are prokaryotic cells, are different from animal and plant cells in that they have no nucleus, no mitochondria and no ribosomes.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Your immune system defends you by destroying invaders. One defense is to attack the invader directly with the white blood cell. Once the invaders are engulfed by the cells , the white blood cells release special chemicals that destroy the invaders, but also destroy the white blood cell. Another way that your immune system defends you by using antibodies. Antibodies are made by a special type of white blood cell. Antibodies are large molecules the lock onto invading organisms.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>-Red blood cells: The blood cells that carry oxygen and it is the hemoglobin which permits them to transport oxygen<br>-White blood cells: One of the cells the body makes to help fight infections.<br>-Skin cells: The body's outer covering, which protects against heat and light.<br>-Brain cells: A cell in the tissue of the brain. <br>-The Nucleus: The is the control centre. It directs all of the cell’s activities. In plant and animal cells, the nucleus is surrounded by a membrane. Cells with a nuclear membrane are known as In some<br>one-celled organisms, such as bacteria, the nucleus is not surrounded by a membrane. These cells are known as Chromosomes.<br>-Chromosomes: Are found inside the nucleus. contain DNA or genetic information, which holds “construction plans” for all<br>the pieces of the cell. This genetic information is duplicated and passed.on to other identical cells.<br>-The Cell Membrane: Holds the contents of the cell in place and acts like a gatekeeper, controlling the movement of materials, such as nutrients and waste, into and out of the cell. The cell membrane consists of a double layer of fat molecules.<br>-The Cytoplasm: Most of the cell is a watery fluid that contains everything inside the cell membrane and outside the nucleus. Many of the cell’s<br>chemical activities take place in the cytoplasm. The cytoplasm allows materials to be transported quickly between the structures in the cell. The cytoplasm also stores wastes until they can be disposed of.<br>-The Vacuole:<br>Each vacuole is filled with fluid. A is used to store water and<br>nutrients, such as sugar and minerals. A vacuole is also used to storewaste and to move waste and excess water out of the cell.<br><br></div>]]></description>
