         <description><![CDATA[<div>James J. Hill was born on September 16, 1838 . When he was a child an incident happened with a bow and arrow , which caused him to go blind in his right eye. Hill built roads through Minnesota , into Wisconsin, and across North Dakota to Montana. Hill was able to enter the steamboat and coal business because of his previous experiences. </div>]]></description>

In 1861, after he heard a presentation by Theodore Judah , he was one of of the principle investors. Crocker bought train plows to to plow the tracks through the snow. Crocker was the controlling share hold of Wells Fargo.</div>]]></description>

He became famous as president of the plant system of a railway and steamer lines. After the war Plant returned to the south In February&nbsp;to reclaim his business interests. The railroads of the south were pretty much ruined. Many railroads went bankrupt in in the depression of 1873. </div>]]></description>
