I really liked that the applicant listed the experiences that are, no doubt, relevant to the position, but I think that there should be more mentioned in the letter, such as the academic and professional qualifications that would make the applicant a more memorable candidate. The header was too large, and "to whom it may concern" is not the correct way to address a company or a hiring manager. Finally, I wish that the quality work experience was expanded upon. The given information may allow this individual to be a good teacher, but I wish she went deeper with why she loved to teach. All of the required information was there, but everything needed to be further explained. This cover letter lacked detail, and emotion. People that wish to be teachers, especially those of younger aged children, happen to be very passionate about their future in that field. The reason for my decision is there is a lack of professionalism. It seems almost like they were trying to tell a friend why they think they should get a job, rather than an employer.
