During the site visit, we were able to collect the information and measurements of the museum through on site works and also meeting with people there. We had already partially CAD-ed during the trip. AS of now, CAD and report will continue after once everyone is back from their holidays. 

Will also start discussion on model making and presentation of model as well.

This building is a mix of western and local culture and also less ornaments are shown in the building. To do the measurement of this building, we mainly separated groups into exterior and interior groups.  A few days later, we exchanged to smaller group for detailing.  What I love about my group is everyone did their part well and we were enjoying listening the story of the museum. This trip was an interesting and tiring trip. Tiring for we had to measure and collect all the data in the day and draw it out at night. However, it was fun to work in this huge group. I am very happy to see that our group members work happily together and everyone put their best to complete the work. We had a memorable time in the historical building. I felt relieved as we managed to get most of the data that we needed from this trip.

Tiring. The building given was built in the early years, where everything was not standardized, and most of it was hand-build. It is frustrating how we had to record down every little difference in terms of measurements, then forget what we wrote the next minute and had to check it all over again. But, having work in a big group, somehow makes everything seems smoother, as we supported each other. This trip, i had learn more about this Malays traditional colonial building architecture. 
This is also the museum that i had never visit before in kedah even im a Kedahan. During the measuring, we occur some problem in getting the dimension of some part in the building, but we had solve the problem. This is a great opportunity for me to study the Kedah Malay architecture style. The historical building (Muzium Diraja Kedah) that we document is a creation of the fusion of Malay and colonial architectural style. It does not have many wood carving or decorative ornament as I think before the trip. However, the building itself still has many unique elements and details which telling us the stories from every period that it experienced. Personally, I studied how to obtain the accurate measurements and document them. Besides, I learned a lot of the traditional Malay house construction details from observing the building. The approach of this project based on learning towards one of the architectural course help much in teaching materials. Comparatively with conventional way, we exposed to real site projects which enhance much ability and skills In problem solving. Realizing that the preliminary exposure to real on site studies not only to cater the goal of learning outcome, but also giving extra credit in soft skills development through socializing with the community and especially teamwork and communication with one and another in the team.

Knowing that it's very tiring to wake up early everyday and having to stay up for meetings and to rush the drawings before the next day. But here's the part that I enjoy the most, where we do things as team. We do everything together. Throughout this field trip, I expected the building given is much more easier compare to others but not really.Every measurement in this building is not standardized and make many confuse while measuring. Then we have to measure again and again to make it much more accurate which is annoying and tired. During the night, we have to CAD those door detail drawing which contain a lot of confuse and we have to reconfirm the measurement the next day every time.It's surprisingly found out that the building is where our first Prime Minister of Malaysia stayed when he was young. Also, i have learn a lot of thing and way to facing problem during the process.I'm would like to thanks to my group mates who lend me a helping hand in this journey and facing problem together.

We've met many challenges while conducting the measurements of our building as it was built and handcrafted many years ago hence every nook and cranny had to be taken into consideration when we documented the measurements. I'm thankful for a helpful tutor who guided us with the basics and efficient methods of measuring the building and hard working team mates who were friendly and cooperative. The trip is an eye-opener and a memorable experience to all of us.  Throughout the trip, we learnt on ways to conduct accurate measurements and understand the cultural attributes of a built environment. Due to time constraints and lack of human resources, we also learnt to juggle time and manpower when doing the measurement on site.
