One strong piece of feedback we're hearing from student engagement sessions is that students often don't clearly understand what will happen prior, during, and after a WIL experience. For example, a student going out on a school placement had very little information other than the name of the school and which day to show up. Neurodivergent students in particular are asking for more information on what these experiences will be like so they can prepare themselves (do I need earplugs? do I need to ask for accommodations/adjustments? etc). Photos of placement sites, names of preceptors, details about day to day tasks and experiences.

I have allocated them to peer groups - they are optional, but I allocate approved time for them to meet if they choose, discuss, share resources, support. It is non reportable, just a support mechanism
