We have been practicing VCe words. Today, please choose a way to practice the long /o-e/ words. Want more practice?

CHOICE:

*Have someone give you a quiz. Which ones did you get wrong? Can you rewrite them twice?

*Go for a word hunt! Just like at school, look for words that follow our rule in books and other places. Each time you "catch a word", write it down.

*Rewrite your words! You might even use rainbow letters OR blue consonants/red vowels.

*Create your own Silly Sentences! Think of words that follow the rule and write sentences using at least two or more words in each. Double check you started with a capital letter and ended with a period or question mark.

*ROLL AND SHOW
Spin or roll a number. Then, represent it a different way. You can draw base 10 blocks, write it in expanded form, __hundreds __ tens __ones, etc.

*VALUE OF A DIGIT
Spin or roll a 4 digit number. Underline one digit and then write its value. (6,793 = 700)

*ADDITION GO FISHIN'
You know how to play! Remember: Same rules as Go Fish - Use a deck of cards and match two addends that equal ten added together.

Think of a way to practice your addition or subtraction math facts. You may choose to work on the hard ones (ones you get stuck on), you may create your own problems and race, you may use flash cards, OR maybe you will find an app that times you on basic facts. Practice, practice, practice in a way that works best for you!

Think about it: What goal can you set for next week's timed test? For example, if you got 20/30 in 2 1/2 minutes, maybe you are going for 27/30. Remember: The more you practice the quicker (and easier) it gets!
