A couple years ago, Orvil found native regalia inside his aunt's closet, hidden away. That's where his interest and passion started for the native dances. But, no matter how many times he asked, Opal would not agree to teach him the native ways of things, either because "she was just too busy" or "there's too many risks that follow the teachings". Orvil didn't know what she meant by risks, but he couldn't let this passion die down, it was a part of who he was, he was Native.
