This holiday shows kindness and that light beats dark or good beats evil. This holiday is celebrated in October or November and starts on a full moon and lasts three days. On the first day they get everything like candles,  oil for the light, sweets, jewelry, and gifts. After all the shopping is done the girls of house usually get the candles ready for the night to represent the good lighting of the dark sky but they don't light it up by themselves they put it with the whole family then they go to bed. On the second day it is time to give your gifts to the people that you want to get them to and light the candles again. On the third day they light candles and eat, wear, or put them by god for good luck.

Chinese New Year: According to legends, the beginning of Chinese New Year started with the fight against a mythical beast called the “Year.” It looked like an ox with the head of a lion, and was believed to inhabit the sea. It was also believed to harm animals, people, and their properties on the night of new years eve. People later discovered that it feared the color red, fire, and loud sounds. And for self - protection started posting red Dui Lian in front of their houses, launching fireworks, and hanging lanterns at year end.

Bodhi day is in Buddhism and about Sidhartha who decided to meditate and sat under a fig tree. And he reached enlightenment. And began teaching what he realized to others. It is celebrated in the Jan-Dec time frame on the day when he was enlightened. People celebrate by meditating in a calm and quiet state. People decorate the Bodhi (fig) tree they have and eat a traditional meal.
