The biggest advance I believe of this time is mechanized farming implantations. This includes farming equipment like tractors, pickers, and reapers running off fossil fuels. These types of equipment lead to the ability of farmers to grow, produce and harvest more crops in shorter times. This also lead to larger scale irrigation. It is specifically used for the treatment of chloroquine-resistant Plasmodium falciparum malaria and cerebral malaria cases. People with severe malaria are nearly unconscious and may not be able to breath. This drug is especially helpful in third world countries where cases are still rampant. I picked this representation for the destruction pictured. Our world cannot survive the way we are going. We will deplete our resources, including water and food. If we continue to litter and destroy the environment, we could run out of rich oxygen. We need this world, it does not need us.
