The collaborative and iterative approaches fostered in KI create an environment where we can work together as scientists to increase the efficiency and quality of our work. The flexibility of KI has enabled me to use my large number of electives to gain expertise in my specific area of scientific interest by pursuing a joint major with the science faculty. 

    Generally, science people want to know what is exactly relevant to them so make sure to highlight how what you are arguing is specifically relevant to them. Generally, providing tangible and specific examples are better than theoretical or abstract concepts when explaining benefits. These topics are current hot buzz words, but most people don’t know what they exactly mean in their context, so if you can leverage your KI knowledge to contextualize and explain it to them, they will be impressed. 

    Moreover, KI student have to show a lot of initiative and self starting behaviour to design their own degree and navigate a maze of institutional barriers in a siloed system. In this way, we demonstrate our creativity and resilience to problem solve.
