My summer was great because me and my family went fishing and my parents caught some big fish. During the summer we got 4 new pets and the pets  that we got are 3 birds and 1 baby crested gecko. Before we had a leopard gecko, fish, and an adult crested gecko.  I feel good about being an 8th grader because I will graduate at the end of the school year. I would like to be a veterinarian so I can see different animals and cure them. If I was a veterinarian then I would make a lot of money helping animals. 

Dear Mrs. Brizard, my name is Toma Meskhi and I'm 12 years old turning 13 on December 9thand I live inBrooklyn, New York,  and one thing you should know is that I am interested in a lot of things. But, to start off I like mathematics, physics, science, technology, history, and engineering. In addition, I am also very interested in cars and planes, I also like to dress myself nicely every-day before I come to school. What I want to become when I grow up is either an engineer, business-man, or and NBA player. My summer was fun and mesmerizing while I was spending time with my friends. Now as a 8th grader, I feel mature and in high class but so far I am having fun! And I also have a black cat. She's 3 months old.

Some things about me are that my favorite color is blue, my favorite subject used to be science but now my favorite subject is ela,my favorite number is 3, my dream college is Duke, i hope to get a basketball scholarship and my dream to make it to the league(nba) and be one of the best players . I love to play basketball. I had a good summer, I love playing  basketball during the summer, I went to Florida to see family and have fun, and I played video games when I was bored. So far my feelings on 8th grade are exciting because 8th grade means you are the oldest in the building but you have the most responsibility, but I can’t wait to go on the senior trip. Also my goal for 8th grade is to pass all the regions this year.                                                                                                                    

I like the color green and cars. We went fishing over the summer and caught a lot of fish. I feel as an 8th grader like it's going to be hard this school year for math. I also played video games this summer and our birthday is on stempeter 15. I want to be a youtuber, garabge man or vetaneritan.

My favorite color is turquoise and I was born on July 18 2010. I like to watch tv and watch Ig reels. I feel like 8th grade is going to be fun for how it's been so far. I do feel worried about the regents though. I don’t know what I want to be when I grow up yet but if I had to choose I would be a veterinarian because I love animals and I have 9 cats and 2 dogs . I live very close to the school and have been here since 6th grade. My summer was kind of boring because I stayed inside a lot and I only went out a little bit. I like living near the school and I will be sad when I have to leave . I have made a lot of friends in this school and met new teachers. However I feel like this grade is going to be fun

My summer was good but not really eventful but something good that had happened was me and my family went to H-mart ( a Korean goods store).I would like to be an architect in the future and design my own house while also doing the same for my parents.I don't really feel like an 8th grader yet but it's going to take a couple weeks to really get adjusted.

My summer was pretty good to begin with, I traveled to Alabama on a road trip. Most people in the west are very nice, even strangers. Also most food tastes better in Alabama. I’m a gamer of all consoles and games, playing every day. My goal is I want to be a future veterinarian to help animals plus the pay is great. Being in an eighth grader feels like it should be easy, but most likely not. I’m not really a person who talks to others but I’ll talk more this year. I’m an animal person having pets from the past and future. I have driven cars, motorcycles. I would like to travel west and temporarily join the army.      

My name is Tahmid Ahmed Rasin, and I was born on December 28 2010. My favorite color is red; my favorite foods are pizza, nihari, chotpoti, fuska, spicy chicken, burger and haleem. I live in Midwood, and I like to play football at the playground near Midwood field. I am currently watching a show called Person of Interest; I am a cat person, and my favorite cat breed is the Persian cat. I want to be a lawyer, a dad, and a really good cook. Countries that I want to go to are, England, Saudi Arabia, UAE, and France.

My name is Madiline, I live in New York and my favorite store/place to go is Daiso or Japan Village and my favorite colors are pink, purple and light blue. I'm 12 years old and I'm turning 13 in December, I don't really know what I'm going to do for my birthday yet but I want to go to a Korean restaurant. My summer was kind of boring because I didn't really do much other than my aunt visiting and going to six flags. In the future, I want to be a veterinarian, get my own car and hopefully own a house. I really like k-dramas, japanese food, listening to music, drawing (sometimes), and playing video games but I haven’t gotten to do that over the summer since my brother keeps on playing on our electronics without permission and my parents took them away, (we share our electronics but I have my own tablet).

Being an 8th grader, I feel that I am not ready yet because I still feel like a 7th grader. It feels as if my time being in middle school went by quickly. I’m just not ready yet to be in high school. When I go to high school I want to be somewhere close to home even though I don’t get homesick that often. Probably to Edward Murrow High school or Midwood High school. For college I really want to get into John Jay College of Criminal Justice because I want to do forensic science when I grow up. I find that solving crimes and solving mysteries really interesting so I’d like to do that when I’m older. Thank you for reading and I’m excited to have you as an ELA teacher!

 My favorite subject in school is math and Ela. I like math because just doing the work problems makes me calm in a way even if the work is difficult, however I feel like I’m stronger in Ela. I enjoy Ela because I think it’s nice to read different stories and think about what a certain character’s perspective is. In school I don't really participate much because I don’t like the way I speak. I am an INFP-T (mediator) which stands for introvert, intuition, feeling, prospecting, and turbulent. I have 4 close friends and a little brother named Caleb who is 5. I still feel like a 7th grader and I properly will still feel like that until November maybe. I'm not really excited about 8th grade because that means next year I’m going to high school but I think this year will be fun.  I love being around my aunt and cousins on my moms side since I am closest to them. I look forward to you teaching us this year!

Bangladesh and I grew up there. I came to the USA last year. I am Muslim. I live in Ocean Ave(near Midwood). I speak Bengali, English , can read Arabic(can’t write/speak and only understand a few words ), understand 2 more languages(but can’t read or write it) and slightly know about a few other languages. I like History, Geography, Technology , etc. I am not sure what I am gonna become when I grow up, but I’m interested in politics and history. My hobbies are drawing/sketching, playing video games, traveling, playing soccer(football) and studying history. I also like to have pets, but don’t have any right now. I like listening to historic marches and phonk songs. When I finish high school, I would like to go to either Harvard or Columbia University. The colors I like is black, Red, blue and green. My summer was great and I feel really good being an 8th grader. 

      Something about myself is that I love kpop, I love music, and I love stray kids, nmixx, blackpink, enhyphen and much more. I love listening to music while in the car with the window open. My birthday is December 2nd. I like singing. I love horses, I wanna go horseback riding. I didn't really do anything this summer. I feel that the eighth grade would be overwhelming. I don't even know what middle school I wanna go to.. So I haven't really thought of what career I want in the future. I thought that I'd be stuck with a job I don't enjoy doing for the rest of my life and I'd have to live with it. But it’ll still be hard to know what middle school I want to go to, or what job I would want to do in the future. It'll be hard with the short amount of time I have left until highschool, but I'll figure it out. Now that I know i have choices.

My summer this year wasn’t bad but not amazing either. I went on a road trip to Connecticut.  I also went to amusement parks and hung out with my friends. I mostly stayed home and relaxed because it was too hot to go outside in my opinion. 

Personally, I don’t feel like an eighth grader yet, I still feel like I’m in seventh grade. But so far, it’s cool. I’m fine with the teachers but the schedule is kind of weird to me since we don’t have an enrichment class, but instead go to the gym two times on Friday.

              

My name is Vivienne Noelle Ward and I was born on September 20, 2010 in Brooklyn, New York. Although I was born and raised here, my family traces back to Puerto Rico, Jamaica, China, India, Panama, and The Virgin Islands. I enjoy listening to music, preferably R&B, hip hop, k-pop and afro beats, as well as dancing and singing. I also partake in step/dance competitions. My top favorite singers are Melanie Martinez, Aaliyah, Tyler the Creator, SZA, Metro Boomin, Brent Frayiaz and Selena. My favorite color is pastel blue and my favorite number is twenty. I am genuinely an extroverted person and always try to light up a room with my bubbly energy. I always strive to spread kindness, as well as trying to receive it back. My favorite foods are sushi, fried chicken, ramen, and dumplings. Being a senior has been interesting so far and I hope to have an amazing year. I aspire to attend Midwood High School and soon go to either NYU in Manhattan or Hofstra University. I aspire to be a veterinarian and just overall be happy and satisfied with my life the future has to offer.
