Although I am very excited for the fourth Toy Story to come out, this is very bittersweet. This is so sad just because it's the life of a boy growing up and growing out of all his toys. This makes me think about my own toys in my basement, and I wonder if (if they can feel) they feel upset that they aren't played with anymore. My favorite childhood toys were my barbies, tons and tons of them. They are still in my basement because I refuse to give them away, they always meant so much. This video, very saddening, shows how growing up ends like a new beginning for others, but we will always be children at heart. <3 thank you for sharing this, Alaira!!

When I was little I had a blanket (named Blankie) that I took everywhere. She wasn't really a toy, but she was so comforting to me. Even now I still feel comforted by her, although I don't take her everywhere anymore. When I leave home I think I'm going to miss my room and my house and my dog. I think I'll miss the lake a lot too. Honestly I don't really want to grow up. Ahh man now I'm in my bag.

Thanks, Alaira. I really wanted to cry today. I can't just pick one favorite toy I had as a kid, but I know I loved my Build-A-Bear stuffed cat named Jeffrey, Bratz dolls (yes, really), and Hot Wheels. When I leave the homestead for college, I'm going to miss the large book collection I have in my room. Obviously I can't take them all, so I'll just have to part ways with most of them... for now. I'm really stressed about doing my college applications now, but I'm also very excited to spread my wings and be independent in college.

This is one of the saddest scenes in move history! I can vividly remember going to see this at the Drive-Ins with my whole family and my mom was bawling at the end. I have so many memories that involve playing with my toys from when I was younger. I don't think I will ever be able to give some of them away. When I go to college I am going to miss so much about my home. I am excited for the next chapter but I am not ready to leave quite yet.

I am most likely going to miss all of my friends the most when I leave because they are people that I have gotten so close to and I won't be able to see them as frequently.

I hated this scene as a kid because it always made me so sad. When I was a kid, I loved all the dolls I had, and I also loved all my Littlest Pet Shop dogs. When I moved, I had to give away all of them and I was so upset. But, I gave them to my younger neighbor who loved playing with them every time she came over. I'm glad I could give them to someone who would enjoy them instead of keeping them and not using them, but it was still sad. I also gave away one of my American Girl dolls to a girl I babysat, and that reminds me of this scene exactly.

It's kind of weird to think that childhood is a time in our lives that we'll never really experience again. The toys, the birthday parties, water slides, and cartoons are all in our past. I don't think that any of us have a true desire to return to that time anymore. Every stage of life has its own upsides and downsides, and each gets boring after a while. You wouldn't want to play with toys all your life, it would get old pretty fast. In the same way, the somewhat careless exploration we have experienced in high school is wearing thin, as we all want more freedom and responsibility. Each part of life only lasts so long for a reason, and I think that passing on that joy to people who can truly enjoy it is the overall message of this scene

I love this movie and i can't wait until the new one comes out. I think the reason this scene is so sad is because we were raised watching the first and second movies. then the third one came out right as we were leaving our childhood and when we were getting rid of all our favorite toys just like Andy. Now just like him we are off to college in just a few months and we have to say goodbye to our childhood forever. My favorite toy was probably my American Girl Dolls collection. They were very expensive so i took a great deal of care of them but for the past ten years they have just been sitting in a box which makes me sad to think about.

I have lived in this area my whole life, and the idea of transition is still terrifying, but I am also super pumped for the future!

Aww this is such a sad ending. Toy Story is a great movie, and it is always awesome to watch again. My favorite childhood toy was a stuffed turtle named Valiette. I got her for Valentine's Day one year, and I loved playing with her as a kid. Seeing the ending of Toy Story reminds us that we're all going to have to pack up and leave our family and things behind. That will be really sad, but I am still excited for the future.

Thanks for sharing this, Alaira. Such a great movie and moment. I actually still have boxes of old stuff sitting in the basement of my parents' house from when I was young - even after all these years! I distinctly remember my favorite teddy bear from when I was younger. Her name was Flower because she had bright yellow fur and a white nose, looking just like a flower. I was heartbroken when after many years she got a hole along the seam of her neck and started losing her stuffing. Luckily, my mom fixed her, but I then had to leave her on my bed, instead of playing with her, so she wouldn't fall apart any more.

He has since been retired to a shelf I have above my bed. Other than my family I'm really going to miss my cats. I'm also going to miss going to places with my friends. College is super exciting, but also kind of scary. The one terrifying thing about being away from home for me is how the heck do you do laundry?

But now that I am going to be going to college soon, this ending seems even more sad. I am going to miss a couple things. I am going to miss my friends the most.
