If I could have attended your vigil in person, I would have said something along the lines of... Keep always in your heart the joy that it took to get here. On those days when our game gets difficult (and they happen) remember the joy you take in your art (in your case this may come both from the fun of doing the research and cooking and seeing it come together the way you want, and from seeing others enjoy what you have created) and let that joy help carry you past the difficult times.
